I drive a 20000 Saturn LS1 with about 170 000 KM on it. It has all origional equipment except fror front brakes and Tires. Lately I expiriance the following problem: The car will idle fine but when I turn on the AC it will miss a couple of times ad than run normal again. When I axcelerate to quickly ( haevy Load) the same thing will happen, butit will run normal again as soon as I let up on the gas.

I thought at first it might be girty injectors so I run a cupple of cans of cleaner through it, it made no differance.

Any bodoy out there how would now what to do?

I would appriciate your help!
DHH

i am somewhat having the same problem but i cannot figure out what triggers my misfire. the engine cuts out and tachometer goes haywire and the coolant light comes on and goes off within a second. i figured that it might be bad fuel so today i ran down to about 1/4 of a gallon and filled up with mid grade fuel but havent drove it long enough to notice a difference

Believe it or not, but it sounds like an electrical problem. Check your cables coming from the battery (especially the positive/red one). Sometimes, the battery fluid seeps out from the post connection, and gets into the cable. Flex the cable right where the connector is and see if it feels ''crunchy'', or if powder falls out. While you are at it, check the negative side as well, both at the battery, and where it connects to the metal of the car ...

Tried the thing with the cables, nothing wrong there. Also went to Saturn to day: they said, if no warning lights are on, don''t worry about it! Still don''t like it!

Have you checked your serpentine belt for crack/wear spots? Also check tensioner pulley and make sure there is enough tension on the belt. Kind of sounds like the belt could be slipping.
