hi guys srry if i get this in the wrong place. im in need of help like now. i have a 1997 saturn not sure if its the sc1 2 or sl1 2........... idk how to tell the differnt.. i cant tell u its stock 2 door 5 speed with a sohc motor. i need a pic of the wiring for the alt i have to get it together in the next 30 mins or so... my wifes car i was replacing it from being told it was bad the wiring pulled out... after the alt sliped out of my hand......................... any help would be great plz and thank you very much i need to know what wire goes where to reconnect it

yea the 30 min deadline was more of a hope and prayer.......... i knew it would not be 30 mins but its to dark for me to keep workin on it....... i need it running again for my wife. to go to work so ill start on it again tomarrow. we are down both her car and my pickup...... both have work at 3. its a sc1 from what u told me. if anyone has a pic of the pug for the alt so i can rewire it the right way that would be great. btw i blew out a tire in my truck tryin to get home from the jy to see if i could find her car and match the pugs...... so now that i have some time this was my problem. i had the batt. and alt. check at the parts store they said the batt was bad. and the alt was not puttin out but 12vs so i was told to replace them....... the batt. had a warrty on it so no biggie. the alt. had to be bought no warrty.... so i had it check out first now that it was off the car. now they are tellin me that the alt. works just fine and its not needing replaced....... i know that the fused link is good. so if anyone has a pic of the pug that goes in to the alt. i could really use it. also if u have any ideas on what is goin on with my wifes car and could give me some insite on what to check/replace. that would be great. thank you all very much for any and all help.

 

btw what happen to make us check it out was that the car would not crank with out pop startin or jumping it off. we had everything checked out and put the new batt. in it before i could get the alt it started not wantin to crank over.

 

Is it possible the starter may be bad?
