95 SC1 Code 26
Hey yall,
I have a 95 SC1 5 speed, and its sat mostly with some running in between for a couple months, and before then I used a paper clip to read the codes, and got it, but ran just fine and no actual light. Now if I run it for a bit and then idle down(city driving) it'll pop the light and feel like its misfiring. It'll run fine with any amount of gas given, but its like it jumps the throttle even when manually opening the throttle from under the hood as well, no gradual increase from no push to little, just little to a lot. Not sure if they're connected, but figure I see if anyone here has similar issues. After a bit, the light goes away and will drive fine again as well. Any info or tips will be greatly appreciated

Code 26 is a pain in the ***. It's a quad driver mode fault. In simple terms, the PCM uses one input to track possible faults from several different unrelated systems. When you see this code, it simply tells you something hanging off that input has a fault and has notified the PCM. I'm going to look for the official the troubleshooting order for the components monitored by that quad driver. Let me go look at some factory service manuals and I will post a link to the information once I find it.
I figured it was. The only bet I had is just mainly from it sitting, so maybe just trying to let it breath more essentially might help, but it being an on and off deal confused me, so any info is awesome. I'm more aware of how inexperienced i am still with most of this at least.
