Default 2008 VUE Steering Angle Sensor

2008 VUE 3.5L AWD XE

Having trouble finding a new steering angle sensor for my 2008 VUE. I checked the usual on-line parts vendors, vintage and discontinued parts vendors, local dealer, etc. Any advice would be appreciated. It's the only trouble code that I have not eliminated on this great Saturn!

There are lots of used ones for sale on ebay.uk. The 08 VUE is an Opel/Vauxhall product.

GM part 2288058 is listed a the superceded part number.

Please know that the same part number was used in the 2012 to 2016 Chevy Captiva sport. This vehicle was not marketrd to the general public in the US to my knowledge. Only as a fleet vehicle.

. Edited to remove incorrect information

Thanks so much for your reply. I would like to find a new one, given the difficulty (for me) to R&R the sensor. I don't mind using used parts but this sensor is in a difficult place to access and I don't want to do it more than once! I'll check the UK eBay to see if anyone is offering a new one.

While you are at it, I think the Captiva was marketed to the public in Mexico. Might want to check Mexican eBay

Edit: it was marketed internationally. Please see the Saturn Vue Wikipedia page to see where and what it was marketed as.

I did some searching on one of the older part numbers and found this.

Never purchased from them. Seriously, check out the Wikipedia page for The vue

There is a gap being added in the last part of the link it is not there when I upload it so you will have to fix that before searching

I got some really bad feedback from several people who have ordered car parts from Aliexpress so choose to steer clear of them. However, the local Chevy dealer was very helpful. The veteran parts guy (35 years) looked up the original part number and matched it with the replacement part number (used in the UK for the same part) and came up with one at a GM parts warehouse. Pricey, of course, but a new genuine GM part will instill confidence in its use. Should have it in a week or so.
