2004 Vue shifter linkage feels broken
Hi everyone,
This is my first post here
I am trying to help my friend diagnose a problem with the shifter linkage on his manual 2004 Vue.
With the engine off, when you move the shifter between the gears, it feels "chunky" like the other end of the shifter is being dragged through a box of wrenches. The ignition is being re-keyed so I can't tell you what it feels like with the engine on. What could be the cause of this "chunkiness"?
The shifter also feels "loose" and the throw length is pretty long. Is the throw length really that long on the Vue?
Thanks for the help with my questions,
Derek
