Couple of questions:

Are there any codes stored up in the computer?

Do you have any after-market modifications? (CAI, exhaust mods, etc.)

What kind of mileage on the vehicle?

Have you flushed/cleaned the intake system recently?

Computer is not throwing codes.
I don't believe there's any after market mods.

I'd go through an intake cleaning cycle. Clean the throttle body, and pay special attention to the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and its connector. It may be giving out bad data to the computer.

There's an outside chance that the ECTS is sending bad info too. Check the connector carefully (especially if not replaced)

OK -- what's clicking? You never mentioned 'clicking' before.

you might try the o2 sensor. my car wouldn't run unless i had the gas in and it wasn't throwing a code. i replaced the o2 sensor and the plugs and its running fine now
