Default 2002 Saturn vue starts but won't idle

My 02 Saturn vue starts beautifully but won't idle, any ideas as to what might be causing this?

Security system?
Some versions off the security systems on these vehicles will start and run for a few sec, then stop (on purpose). Hard to steal it if you can't move it........

What's the security light on the dash doing before trying to start and after trying to start?

Weak fuel pump? You got any gas in it?

We need more information about the history of the car (past problems, things recently replaced/fixed), maintenance performed, etc) so that your issue has some context.

Otherwise we are shooting in the dark

Their motivation to have us further help in resolving the issue IS cause for contemplation.......
