Unhappy 2002 LW200, coolant leak

I have a 2002 LW200, with the 4 cylinder, 2.2, that just started leaking anti-freeze, out from the valve/cam cover gasket, on the drivers side. No anti-freeze in the oil, only leaks when it wants to, what is up with this? Do I need to change the Valve/cam cover gasket? Why would anti-freeze be that high up in the engine? Thanks for your help.

Oops, needed to tear into it a little, and put my glasses on, the plug hole, closest to the tranny/drivers side, was full of anti-freeze, so, is it a head gasket, or a cracked head? Or? Thanks.
