Is there a way to find out what parts are interchangeable for my car? Specifically I have to replace the hood and headlights due to an accident. When I search at the local junkyard, they show a number of SL's for my year but also other years. So for example, would the hood from a '97 fit my '99? how about an SL2 hood? I'd be reluctant to call a dealer if I'm not buying from him - they'd probably just hang up. Wait... there are no more dealers I always had the best experience with my former dealership. GM's two biggest mistakes - severing the ties with NUMMI and dumping Saturn. My SL1 has 223,000 and has been great!

This will increase my chances of getting a color match, and also keep me from getting a hood that looks right, but for some reason won't fit when I get it home.

 

SL-SL1-SL2 96-99 interchange, and you can use front clips from the same year wagons. Do remember SL2's had the smooth painted bumpers.
