I have a 1999 Saturn SL2 with 80,000 miles on it. It usually uses about 2 quarts of oil in between oil changes, is this normal? Also, at times it makes a weird jerk or something when accelerating, not all the time, just occasionaly. My dad put a upper engine mount on it and it still does this. Anyone who knows what this may be? Thanks!

I kinda have the same problem with mine. I go thru about half a litre to 1 litre after being on the highway for long trips (round trip = 500km). Oil only usually "goes away" after highway driving, not city. No smoke or leaking.

Oil Control Rings
Valve Seals
Valve Guide Seals

All are allowing oil to enter the cylinders, where it is burned.

2q/3k mi at 80k is not unheard of.

Keep oil topped off and it should keep running.

Ya that's all I do with mine. Top off whenever needed. Also my engine has about 210,000kms on it too....I think. The car has 311,000 but motor was replaced by last owner.
