I noticed you guys don''t have a transmission section. So I hope it''s cool if I put it in here. I have a 95 SW2 DOHC.


I have already had two diff pin failures and I know what they feel like from when the it begins and the aftermath. But this is different I makes a bad grinding noise in any gear and does not move at all. [img]smileys/smiley11.gif[/img]


This all happened under acceleration. I think the input shaft snapped. I''m going to pull the trans and tear it down to find out what happened. What I really want to know is where to you guys by beefed up trans parts from. If you guys could post some links and stuff that would be great thanks.

There are no beefed up trans parts to buy.

 

The only thing you can do ot beef up the transmission is to weld the diff pin in place. I do that with every transmission I replace that has had a diff pin failure.

Keep in mind that not all diff pin faiures are catastrophic. Once that slided just a little out of place will sound like what you''re describing.
