The starter just went out in my 2006 Vue, does anyone have pics or detailed instructions on replacing? I found a site online to buy a reasonably priced starter... are these usually safe? Could save me a lot of money! I am doing some research for my husband since this has to be done ASAP

 

I cannot speak for "unbranded" starters -- I normally go for the OEM version. Costs a bit more, but I've not had one of these "replacement" starters fail to perform as required. Perhaps one of the other posters on here can give you more information ...
