Hey there all new to this site and this is my first question.

I have a 97 SL2 which just died about two weeks ago, turns out it was the crank sensor that went bad had it changed and was working fine. Now i need to get the car inspected but the check engine light is on. I get the codes P0108 and P0404, i would like to fix these issues if at all possible on my own. But i am a novice at all this so any help is welcome.

DTC P0108 Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit High Voltage

DTC P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Open Position Performance

EGR code indicates that your EGR valve probably needs to be removed and cleaned so that it can operate (open and close) smoothly. Remove the EGR valve and clean with choke cleaner until the pintle valve moves freely. Also be sure to clean the gunk out of the ports where the EGR mounts to the engine. The EGR on these cars frequently gets gunked up from carbon buildup due to the excessive oil burning issues on the S car engines.

MAP code may be influenced by the EGR issue, so I'd address the EGR first and then re-evaluate.
