I have an odd whining noise coming from the front drivers side up until I hit 3rd-4th gear. It doesn’t do it in neutral or park. It isn’t affecting acceleration or braking any.

 

Have you ever changed the transmission fluid and filter? Maybe the filter is sucking air.

 

Does it track with miles per hour or RPM? Like if you take your foot off the gas, does the pitch of the whine track with the RPMs dropping.? Also, what happens if you are moving along at a speed where you are hearing this whining and you put it into neutral? Does the sound stay or go. I know you said it doesn't do it in neutral but I'm assuming that was while you were parked or shall I say not moving
