Temp potentiometer stuck 2004 vue
Hi last week I replaced the factory stereo and not realizing that I did not need to take off control ***** on climate controls, (which I did) when I went to put the **** back on the temp control ,it went on however if I push the shaft in untill it bottoms out,I can't turn it.
If I pull it out slightly it will spin completely around .
Is there a gear or something on the end of that shift that goes in a certain way?
I am very frustrated as I can't adjust between hot/ cold and summers coming and I have no AC control.
Could someone please help out .
Thanks Bill

Apologies for the delay in responding.
Does a normal push in of that **** have a functionality assigned to it? Or is it possible that you may have just pushed it too far and the rod is now out of place? I have no idea how a 2004 view HVAC control unit is supposed to function, but if you can describe how it normally functions versus the way it is behaving now, we might get a lead on it as to where to begin rummaging around the internet.
I'm up for it if you are

Hi thanks for looking at my post.I found the problem today, when I reinstalled the console a group of wires hit against the side of that module causing it to bend out of place.
reinstalled again more carefully and boom,it now works. So it is fixed.

Yes like $175 worse. It seems that the temp module is part of the control assemly, and you have to buy the whole unit.
well thanks for your time anyway,I appreciate people like you that are willing to help out.
Take Care and I'll probably be back with other questions- problems as my check engine light is on,and have to get it scanned/fixed for inspection next month.
YIPPIE!!
