Hi All,

I recently purchased a 04 Redline and havea question about the sunroof. When I open the sunroof, there is a plastic rail looking thing which pops up around the front of the opening which seems kind of flimsy and may also cause some noise or vibration. Anyone know what this thing is for and is it supposed to be loose when the roof is opened? If its not supposed to be loose how would it be repaired? Thanks

</>I believe that is a "wind foil" which reduces air cavatation at the entry point to the cabin. It forces the wind to climb up and over the opening creating less air movement in the cabin. Anybody else? <!--

Holy cow, you absolutely need that piece. Pull it down while driving, and experience the subsonic air disturbance in the cabin.
It's like opening a back window while driving 55.
In essence, it's a good thing.
