Default Steel wheels

I have a 2007 Saturn Vue 3.5 that came with alloy wheels. I have a almost new set of Uniroyal Tigerpaw tires that are the same size as what my Vue needs but they are on steel wheels. Should changing from alloy to steel wheels be okay and should I expect any drive-ability differences? Thanks

Provided bolt pattern is the same and the wheels are re-checked for proper balance before mounting on the vehicle, should be ok.
If they are a different R (17 vs 18, eg), your speedometer will read incorrectly, but I believe that can be changed in the BCM.

Just curious -- are you not fond of the alloys?

No I actually like my alloys but I have a set of 4 almost new tires on steel rims and I thought why spend $15 to $20 a piece to have them mounted and balanced on the alloys when they are already on the steels and I know that they are balanced. I've also got a decent set of wheel covers so I thought why not just use them as they are.

I have run factory steel wheels and factory alloy wheels and have noticed no difference. The only time there is a difference in the way my car handles is if I go up in wheel diameter and down in profile.
