Hi,

Have a 2007 Saturn Vue with the 2.2L 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. Got a P0420 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)) on the ODBII scanner and failed the emissions test. Want to replace the catalytic converter as cheaply as possible given the vehicle has 200K+ miles. Talked to a shop and they're willing to do it relatively cheap, but they asked I provide them with a direct fit (vs. universal) catalytic. Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on direct fit catalytic converters they've installed.

Unless you are just wanting it to pass inspection to sell it soon then I would get OEM. The cheapies will not last.

 

How many miles ago did you change your front O2 sensor?
