Default Question about changing instrument cluster

I wanna put the instrument cluster out of an 06-07 vue redline in my 04. But I read that it will cause a body code to pop. Can anyone confirm this, and is there anyway to permanently clear it? Thanks

Please provide the link to said information you read. Also, is your 04 a red line? Actually I don't know if they made Vue redlines back then, but need to know model.

Many BCM codes may arise when swapping components of this type because the BCM is programmed at the factory to exactly match all options and functionality not related to the engine. The input and outputs are assigned for specific functionality.

Many times when you swap something from a newer vehicle, that part or subsystem may have new or updated circuitry and functionality. There may not be inputs to the BCM for some of the new signals being generated by the newer version of the subsystem. Likewise, there would then be no corresponding output. More simply stated, the the BCM is either not getting an expected response because it's looking for something that is no longer there or it's trying to send a signal to sub system x to perform a function, but that subsystem doesn't exist.
