Default Oil filter $

My 03 3.0 uses filter element. Is $5 at Amazon. Or $1 plus $5 shipping at rock auto. I could buy 2 for $7. Or 3 for $8. Or, sell vue.
my kid is storing it at my house. Drove <1k miles last year.
tires were from 2014. I got a set of 2021 tires for $40. Rides ok

That's a very difficult question to answer. Can you please rephrase it?

It all depends on how much you're going to drive it and how often you change the oil. Since it's a V-6 Vue, I'd change the oil in it ONCE and sell it. I THINK you'll have transmission problems if the future if it's an automatic. If it's a stick, keep it and drive it. Odds are you'll get to like it.

That's a VUE not an s car, Rube, so transmission issues shouldn't be quite as bad.

I think the deciding factor on where to get the oil filter is whether or not you have Amazon prime.

Like many other situations in life, one must decide whether to exploit and try to make back the annual fee for Amazon prime by purchasing things through Amazon, further destroying the economic landscape by killing off the remaining smaller vendors who have made it all the way until today..

So if you can deal with the guilt of further cementing Amazon as a monopoly of the illusion of choice, go for it. Because in 10 years there will be no choice. Only what they offer.

And no I am not bitter

I’ve done trans drain/fill a few times. We’ve had it for 12 yrs. I did timing belt last month. I am driving it a bit more lately. Maybe 100mi/ month. The filter elements have always been hard to find locally.
