I have always used my key fob to lock and unlock my car. I bought it used and only received a key for the ignition. Is there a separate key to unlock the vehicle or is the ignition key supposed to open the vehicle also?

 

Does your key open any of the locks? On my L series the key works all the locks and ignition.

 

If you've essentially never used the other locks on the outside of the vehicle, they may need to be lubricated. It's also possible they are rusted in place.
