Intermitent CKP error

I got a code for the CKP about 2 months ago and replaced it and did a relearn with my scanner. I now get every couple of weeks the code again. Sorry, I just cleared it this morning and forgot to write it down. It appears to only happen during a start of the engine. Every once in awhile it will code as an engine misfire. Both of these clear themselves after a few more starts. The next time it codes, I will have the code. It's more annoying than anything else as I am thinking it could be something more serious so I have to check it. The last codes have been only those 2. I know I should have the code for you but I thought I would throw this out and see if anyonre has any ideas.

Get us the code.

Looks like I jumped to quickly. The code is P0340. It is the Camshaft sensor and not the Crankshaft sensor. I will order one and replace.

Back again. From what I am seeing, there is no Cam Position Sensor and they are using the ECM. Is that correct? I replaced the whole Coil Pack and ECM about 3 months ago. Yes, kind of when all this began, If the location is true, I am wondering if the ECM is bad. Any thoughts?

Looks like I jumped to quickly. The code is P0340. It is the Camshaft sensor and not the Crankshaft sensor. It appears from what I am seeing that there is no Cam Position Sensor per se. It looks like they are using a connector on the ECM. I replaced the whole coil pack and ECM about 3 months ago. Now I am wondering if the ECM is bad.
ANy thoughts?

I'm sorry, I said ECM but meant Ignition Control Module.

What plugs do you have in there?

I changed those plugs around 80K and now have 103K. I think they are NGK but I am not positive. I just replaced the ICM with my old one and the code cleared itself. I turned in the new one for a warranty replacement as it had 12 month warranty.

Usually when problems show up after replacing old parts with new ones, one of the new parts is the issue. If you're buying crap from Autozone or Advance, STOP. I have worked for both in the past and most of the stuff they sell is substandard quality. I don't shop at either one unless I see a sale on Techron products. I try to buy online and if rockauto or the manufacturer is out of it, I'll try NAPA. O'Reilly is next to last with the other two mentioned as LAST RESORTS.
