extra ground wire
new guy here , 2007 vue 2.2l . Has anybody found it beneficial to add an extra ground wire on the ecm case? i read in another place the ground was not very good causing ecm to produce false codes. Thanks

ground wire
Thank you for you're suggestion. I had some DTC codes that came up that i addressed, then cleared codes and have about 90 miles of various driving conditions . I believe i've got problem corrected hopefully ! Evap canister vent valve stuck . Replaced vent valve and put on a new purge valve as well . thanks again

i pulled a code P0455 . i figured gas cap , replaced w/GM cap and after 28 miles check engine light on again . I then got underneath car and checked evap canister for wires chewed or plumbing to canister broken . everything looked intact . I couldn't see the canister vent valve just the wires leading to it .I very carefully removed the three
nuts securing canister since they were rusted up it took quite a bit to get them off without breaking the studs ! Removed the vent valve and found it stuck in open position ! Replaced valve with new GM valve , cleared code and now i'm at 90 miles with no check engine light ! (knock on wood)
