Not sure if folks have a need for this information but I have done several successful swaps of the CVT Saturn Vue's to Saturn Vue 4 speed automatics and 5 speed standard transmissions. I can provide parts lists as well as modifications required if need be.

Good to hear you're still alive and kicking, Andy. Any chance of you posting a couple of pics of that Sunbeam? One of my brothers had an Alpine when I was a kid and I loved riding in that sweet little convertible.

My Sunbeam isn't all that good looking. Been under construction for over a decade. Lots of money invested. All custom bodywork accomplished and drive train fully built and ready. Never seem to find the time to get back on it doing all these Vue's among other work.

 

You gotta do what pays the bills first, man. I truly get that.

 

How would you like me to send these conversion write-ups? Now that I put it down on paper it seems so simple.

Awesome. The market is flooded with inoperative Vues and early Ions.

 

I also have a write-up which lots of folks could find handy on how to re-program their Saturns when they change computers or keys or??? No need for dealers or equipment

 

I have done one for a guy in Alabama who brought his Vue up to KY for me to do. Converted it to a 5 speed for him. I have done several but mostly flips.

 

Just sharing my knowledge here so that others can accomplish the conversion. I have numerous Vue's and work on them pretty much daily. Buy them every chance I get, money allowing on my military retirement.
