Default Change Oil light got me! 07 J35 v6 Vue

I have recently acquired 07 v6 (J35 engine) Vue.
Car has only 133k miles. Put in new front struts which improved the handling from boat like to normal.
Anyway - the oil light - the yellow one w the wrench, would stay on after starting the engine and wouldn't go out, even if you revved the engine, but would go out after you drove off.
I was convinced there might be an oil pressure sensor issue, or worse, a bad oil pump. So I replaced both of them, the Honda one and the GM one that's right next to it. Also changed oil and filter.
This turned into a major issue as it turned out the GM one must've been replaced by the previous owner, because it was cross threaded and had RTV around it. The cross threading made it impossible to
get the replacement one in. Plus the fact that the thread is 1/8 BSPT tapered thread, not something easy to tap - if you can find one. The other sensor (Honda) is different, M10x 1.0 thread!
I did manage to get a BSPT adapter that I could get started and put the new sensor on it w blue loctite.
After all that the yellow light consistenly still stayed on after starting the car but went out are a few seconds and didn't come back on.
I expect some of you have figured this out and know what's coming.
I was starting to think I would need to hook up an oil pressure guage.
Then, when I was checking the IM readiness with and obd2 reader, key on engine off, happened to notice that the yellow light went off after 20 seconds, consistently.
Now the light bulbs were starting to go off, duh!
Well, turns out that the oil pressure light is also the oil change service interval warning light - the yellow wrench symbol part of the indicator. And it goes off after a timer interval.
Turn the key on, press the accelerator 3 times, then start the car - no more oil light staying on !!!
This story fortunately has a happy ending, after a very difficult (and unnecessary) sensor(s) change,
I don't have to worry about oil pressure, engine failure, etc and learned that the light is dual function. Oil light now goes off immediately after the car starts.

Oil light/wrench is oil change reminder. Nothing wrong with any sensor. Telling you to change oil. You can reset it and not change oil. Then light will be off.

Yup, just new to this vehicle (though I had a Honda Pilot with the same engine/trans for many yrs).
Wasn't aware of that warning (as it happens I had changed the oil+filter) and caused a lot of aggravation until I figured out what it was ... .

I think Mercedes has service A or B that tracks your driving. It will say 2344 miles since last service. Dumkopf. Germans like to make you feel guilty.
