Default Anyone here know how to swap power seats into manual seat Vue?

I've got a 2007 Saturn Vue, base model, with the Honda V6.
It has manual seats, and I know someone who is junking a 2007 Vue that has power seats, and he'll sell the parts to me for cheap.
I'm hoping someone here knows the steps needed to do this.

Well, I doubt the power seat harnesses are present in your vehicle. I guess you could procure that chunk of wiring from that donor vehicle.

I assume there are several motors involved. Internal and possibly external.

Don't know if the power switches go to the BCM or not. If they do,, you may have issues getting them to work with your BCM.

Not saying it can't be done. Simply pointing out the most obvious potential issues

They plug and play on L series cars.

Well I have full access to everything, so I can for sure get the full harness.
I guess it all comes down to whether it works with the body module. They are heated seats, so I could see one of the modules controlling that. But worse comes to worse, all I want is the power seat function, and I could always just bypass everything else and run it off of the power seat fuse, for which there is a slot.

Never looked on a wiring diagram, but I would think for something with a motor that large there would be a relay involved in the circuit. That relay or equivalent might have been part of the BCM or it could be on board the seat or it could be on one of the fuse panels

Or I could be totally wrong.

I would take a gander at the wiring diagram before you start.
Because it would suck if you went through all that work and then the seat caught on fire while you were driving through no fault of your own.

I see what you mean, the relay is something that either works or doesn't.
My friend owns a garage, and has a subscription service for one of the online manuals like Alldata, and he's going to compare the two wiring diagrams to see if everything is there on my Vue. He's jammed with work right now, so it will be a slow discovery.
I'm also going to swap out a couple of body panels that had previously been poorly repaired and repainted. Just goes to show you can't fully trust a carfax if the car gets repaired but never reported. Oh well, I got a sweet deal on it 3 years ago, and it's been worth every penny I paid for it.

Don't expend mental energy justifying your acquisition to yourself or anyone else. You bought it, it's yours, and you are free to do as you wish

eh it's not like that, it's just an irritating memory. I flew to Florida, took an uber to the dealership for a car i'd already checked out as supposedly accident free. As time went by it was clear that something had messed the car up. I should have looked it over with a fine tooth comb, but it was such a tight time schedule that I went by faith. Worse part is they had a mint fully loaded white 2007 with a little bit more mileage and they said I could get it for the same price. Only problem was it had a trailer hitch on it, and there was no way of knowing how long it had been on, or what it had towed. Could have been a sizable boat for all I knew, so I went with mine, which drove flawlessly, and still does.
I have no regrets on the price I got it for, so it's all good.
