2008 Saturn Vue Throttle Body Replacement
Hey guys,
My wife's Vue (V6, XR) started having some acceleration issues recently and the local repair shop told us that the throttle body needs to be replaced (computer gave code P2138). He quoted me $700, which seems outrageous since a new throttle body is about $100 online. I'm considering replacing it myself but I'm worried that I'll need to do some reprogramming. Does anyone have advice to lend?
Thanks

How to troubleshoot with a multimeter (includes schematics, can't guarantee they are for your year.though)

May be a moisture issue either in a connector or moisture inside the fuse box -- does it seem to correlate w rainy/humid weather?

Yes it is for an Astra but the theory of wet contacts /corrosion is the same. Guess there are some good cleaning tips in there (didn't open the links).
You didn't say anything about how the shop reached its conclusion.
If they didn't test it by monitoring the sensors' output, they can't know exactly what is wrong, but they can charge you 300 for 100 part and 400 labor to put it in.
Oh, and clean the connector so the new one works
