Default 07 Sky obd no communication

Good day
I am wondering if someone would assist me with my Sky. Bought it used, and now my obd2 scanner won't communicate the system. Any assistance will be highly appreciated .

Check your fuses, usually a phone charger twisted in the lighter pops a fuse and the OBD data link dies. I would start there.

Also be sure your scanner is able to communicate using the CANbus protocol of OBDII (bastardized into GMLAN b c GM has to be different and slow). Scanners built before 2004 ish usually did not have the capability as it had not yet been widely adopted. It is now pretty standard. JOBD and EOBD are out there but CANbus is by far the most often used these days and I believe is mandated in the US.

I am not sure I understand your technical terms like, but my scanner was purchased way after 2004...may be 2016. I will however check to see if it has a manufactured date on it. I will check all the fuses today to what condition they are in.
