what I find a little strange is oil capacity is 4 quarts instead of the almost standard 5 with a filter. And I think it is the same size as the filter used for the 2.2 L mopar engine or VW too. But it has been awhile so I forget.
As to the location some time ago I bought a set of wrenches that were for the "Big" and "little" filters but were driven with 3/8 socket sets. I have not had a problem getting a filter off since then.
