wiper wiring

a couple days ago i got in my car an my wipers started goin nuts, they would start an stop in the middle of the windshield when the switch was off an it didnt change when i played with the switch. so i pulled the fuse an put it back in today an now there fine. im confused is there a short some where in the column or is it something else?[img]smileys/smiley5.gif[/img]

I would suspect that there was a build up of corrosion on the fuse contacts, although the little control processor that runs the wiper motor might be going bad (does not happen often). Since the only thing you did was pull (and later reinstall) the fuse, and all problems went away, I am leaning towards the bad contact/corrosion side of the list

k when i pulled the fuse out i put it back in rite away an it continued then i took it out an left it out for 2 days an theni put it back in an it was fine. i was wondering would there be moisture some how some where cuz it only sometimesdoes it when its really humid out. but ill have to some how get to the back of my fuse panel.
