Default windshield leak

Hey there, I just noticed that i'm getting some leakage through the windshield on my 1999 SL1. It looks like it's coming in from somewhere on the drivers side. I was wondering if the problem can be fixed with some kind of silicon product, or would I have to get the whole windshield replaced? :/

How can we tell if you put silicone on anything if it will stop a leak ...?

Windshields sit on a bed of silicon for the most part any more. Even when they did sit into some kind of a retainer, gooing it up with window fix it in a tube, usually did little more than amuse yourself rather than did any good. Don't know what to say or what to fix. No real track record as to a problem area. If you can find where it is leaking probably silicon will work, but mostly make a messy icky sloppy looking windshield that still leaks. But some one else may have a different opinion.
