my vehicle is a 2000 Saturn SL1, and my problem to start with was the switch in the center console, once i replaced the whole assembly ($134) all of the other windows roll up and down no problem, the mirrors work, and the lock button works, the only one that doesnt work is the driver front window motor. Upon removal of the door panel, and a little tinkering around I got everything removed except the motor, which looks almost like its riveted into the assembly. -How do you go about removing just the window motor?I can provide pictures if necessary.Thank you for your time

You have to drill out out and re-rivet the replacemnt into place.

I usually just replace the entire window regulator assembly.

They are held in by T-40 torx head bolts on the 96 and newer models.

The motor is attached to the regulator by rivets on 1991-2002. The regulator is attached to the door by torx bolts on 1996+ sedan/wagon, 1997+ coupes.
