My 93 gets 400km's to the tank of gas, about 35$ to fill it. Not very well, i just use it to drive to work and around the city for a little bit to pick up my meds. But I also want to plan a trip and take er' for a ride on the trans canada and see what a tank will get me on that. I tried that fuel injector cleaner, and it gave me a bit more torque and a bit more km's to the tank, but not very much. i go through about 3 quarts of oil a week, she loves it, but i don't. any answeres on telling me how i could get better less oil burnage?

So the average MPG is good for SL2 , right? It let me believe that, it should have some problem on my feul system, for one tank for oil(11.8g) of my ride can just run around 180 miles...

I will come back to report around the problem when I have my car checked and repaired by a mechanics on weekend. If you have more stuggestions , just follow up plz.

Thanks all of you guys.

My 93 SL is getting about 20 mpg city only. Is that a problem?

I think that's a little low. Should be in the mid to high 20's at least.

I was getting 17 mpg city when I first bought my 2000 sl2 and luckily my brother in law had a 99 sl2 and saw his rpms were at 700 to 800 and mine was always at 1100 to 1500 and I changed my throttle position sensor and started getting 22 mpg. Then I had my throttle body cleaned out and if I keep my foot out of it I get 24mpg hope that might help.
