I guess I didn' t spell that out well.

The clamp goes on the pipe from the manifold to the catcon - but does not secure the two together. They are welded.

The clamp is strictly for stabilization - and is flat to prevent distortion of the pipe. A standard muffler clamp will over time bend the tubing.

It' s purpose is to keep the manifold to catcon pipe from developing fatigue cracks...
