Its an SL from 95 with over 120k miles with an automatic transmission. The worst problem with the transmission is when shifting into reverse that it kicks horribly and makes a sound as if you have just hit something, not to mention the engine jerks back violently. Also while in drive, there is some stuttering of shifting from 1st to 2nd gear at around 2500 to 3000 RPM. Transmission fluid has been changed but that didnt effect it at all. So im assuming itsa fully mechanical problem and I am royally screwed

It's the valve body or the output shaft nut, but I'd bet on the valve body.Edited by: sw2cam
