Hey there,
I have an '02 SL1 with a throtle that is acting a little funny. I hope I can describe it adaquitly. When I start my car (or when it is off) the throttle does not want to depress, "stuck" in Idle, with a little extra pressure, it goes in and works fine in all positions. I do not notice this problem once I am driving. I wouldn't mind so much, But with my manual transmission, It makes me look like an amature everytime I pull out.

Also, I am somewhat mechanicly inclined, but am not what one would call a "car buff" And, I am a student at school, and do not have acess to many tools, or the means to dissasemble much.
Being said, Has anyone experienced this, and ideas how how to fix this?

well you have two choices...

the first (which i would do). Is remove your TB and clean it all up with some degreaser and what not.

the second, try spraying some carb cleaner, or something of that sort WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING. That should help.

Thanks for the advice, The Carb Cleaner worked great, It was very quick, cheep, and simple! (it is also what the Haynes manual said, stupid me, I hadn't checked that before posting.)
