I've had few problems with my 2000 SL2 I bought new, so now that we need a second car I've been looking at used S-series models. I've found a clean 2002 SL1 with 62,000 miles, but when test driving it noticed something strange.

I happened to put the car into a tight circle (steering wheel not</span> locked fully over, but quite a ways). While circling I heard a moderate &amp; continuous squeal from the front of the car. Happens when in a tight right-hand or left-hand circle. A power steering problem? What would this be and what would be the cost to deal with it? No other steering or handling noises I noticed in the test drive.
