I''m looking into getting shocks and struts for my 98 sl1. What kind do you guys recommend? I''m looking into doing Auto-x. So if that helps. What kind of springs should i use also?

Where are you going to install the shocks?

I''d recommend ST Struts found on ebay or KYB, but the ST ones are better. Springs depend on how low and stiff you want the car.
