Radiator removal (frugal newbie)
Thanks to this forum, I found Saturn Parts (which forwards to http://www.trademotion.com) to replace the transmission cooler lines.
I read somewhere that is is easier to simply remove the old radiator with the old transmission cooler lines connected (but disconnected from the transmission side).
This is the part which needs clarity. Is this difficult to do?
Is the Reinstall in reverse order just as difficult or easy?
I'm new to this stuff but willing to try but I'd like to get some advice first.

On my S series Saturn the A/C condensor came out through the bottom easily, the radiator might too, dunno. But as far as suggestions, a mitchels or haynes or chiltons service manual for your car available from many autoparts stores like advance or O'Riellys is the best $20.00 bucks you can ever spend. And to actually answer your question I'd have to read mine!
Usually the threaded end of the transmission cooler lines (radiator end) corrodes and is difficult to break loose on location. Once you get the radiator out(normally from the top} these connections are more accessible. I've always been able to break them loose on location(but I'm a bonehead and my knuckles are already pure scar tissue).
i changed mine out last year if you ask me was easy draining it pulling
hoses and clamps off and that silly looking air balloon thing thats hooked in to the air cleaner housing off thats above the rad yeah! the only thing i hated is how tight the room you got to work in and the fact that i had to get a friend down the street to hold the ac condesor while i bolted the new rad up to it but all went well filled it ran it works well ever since.
