pcm b fuse blown

pulled out pcm......split it apart.....BAM.....smoked circuit board!!!!!!!

(oops -- odbII port powered separately too --- sorry bout that --didn't check schematics -- my bad)

Well, diagnosis is as we feared.

The safest bet before ordering on ebay is to check with a GM dealer with vin in hand to ensure you get one that is truly compatible with your vehicle. I noticed a few with different part numbers so there are some differences out there.....

threw the ol' dice and ordered a used pcm. plugged it in, connected the battery, crossed my fingers and turned the key........and she started right up!!! everything works great!!! thanks to all for your advice and help!!! now its up for sale. asking $3395 or best offer, 63136 original miles. i'm in san mateo,ca.
