Just purchased a 2001 Saturn SL-1 as a daily driver for my Trans Am...I am experiencing a high idle only in park. It goes from about 1300-1900 RPM's, then goes back down to normal idle. I'll be replacing the IACM, and the vacuum hoses, even though I've noticed nothing wrong with them. Full tune up coming up. Does anyone have any ideas?

Start with those replacements and see what it does for you.

Don't go on a part swapping spree until after the tune-up.

New plugs/wires, air filter, and most definitely a throttle body cleaning. Your IAC may simply be mucked up.

If it doesn't straighten out after the tune-up, let us know and we can tackle it one step at a time.
