1994 sl runs fine but just once in a blue moon when you come up to stop the car well idil up to ab 1100+ and come down then check engine light well come on.code 49 but have check for vacuum leak and only place it seems to idil up at is a black housing on back of carb with 3 lines going to it.what is that?and if that was bad should it do it all the time?(light goes out after you turn car off and start back up)

1.have put new temp sensor in and connecter

2.new muffler

?could converter be clogged up b/c some times i smell a egg smell

 

Code 49 does suggest a vacuum leak. May be a crack in the plastic housing

 

why would it only do it some times? whats the name of the housing?

how do i check converter?should i check it i only smell that egg sometimes.

your car has no carb so I have no idea what you're talking about
