Question How can I simulate driving vibration while the car is sitting still?

Every now ’n’ then I get a bug to try finding and fixing the cheap, plastic rattles coming from everywhere in my 2001 SL1. How can I simulate road vibration on the chassis?

I thought about something like a large alan wrench, tightly secured in a cordless drill, wire tied to a part of the car, but are there better locations to connect to than others? I'm kind of stumped, but I think I'm close.

Thanks.

You have way to much time on your hands.

It's called a passenger.
I believe they still stock them.

Apparently you didn't think I was serious.
Someone in the passenger seat can confirm where the rattle's coming from.

Having them move to the back seat they can then confirm all the rattles from back there in the trim.

Yes having the passenger in the vehicle will dampen some of the vibrations. That's just life.
