Does the SES light come on? If so, go by Autozone for a free failure code reading.

Need more info, it does it when it's hot, cold, only on Sundays. It could be an electrical or mechanical problem. You might want to pull the throttle body for an inspection. You could have a vacuum leak somewhere.

Happens when hot, usually after accelerating hard. I cleaned the throttle body out on Friday and changed the PCV valve aqnd it hasn't done it since. Does this make sense? The PCV valve and port was really dirty...

Ya, all the crud build up on the TB could be holding the air restricter plate open. Also clean up the EGR. It should be routine maintenance when you change your plugs, clean TB, intake manifold, EGR and PVC. The oil fumes recovery hose on the valve coverallows all kinds ofoily sludgeto be sucked into the intake lines. Edited by: stevestar99

The PCV didnt do it? Are their any cracks in the line? I changed mine out at the same time as my fuel filter. Between the two it fixed my idle problem.
