Default HELP...car wont start!!!!

This has slowly became a problem. There is some kinda relay or something mounted under my steering column. Its has 6 wires going into it (pink, white, red, black, yellow, purple). Recently I have had the push and hold the wires in so the car will start. What the heck is going on here? I know it has something to do with the starting system but what is it? Why is it there? I neeed this thing running asap!

That "some kinda relay or something" is actually with wiring connector for your ignition switch. Get a hayes manual for your car, and look up in the electrical portion of the book about the electrical wiring/hookup (last section in the book before the index).

The pins are replaceable in that plug, but you need specific training to make it happen without busting the plug all to hell and gone. If you don't have the tools already, might just be cheaper to get a replacement
