To start out, its not over heating well i think. My dad said the temp gauge should read a lot hotter than it does. He drives 20 miles to and from work and its hot. Idk if the sensor is messed up for the gauge. Or maybe a miracle occured and my car doesn''t heat up lol jk. Any help is much appreciated. Thanx

Probably the coolant temperature sensor. When they go bad, they usually give a false low reading. And cause the car to waste a lot of fuel as well.

The guage normally reads about 1/4 inch over the left hand side mark on the guage. I thought mine was cold also, but this appears to be normal.

Check Temp sender as advised

Check Thermostat (might be stuck open)

Check fan not stuck on
