well my clutch thats not even two months old got cooked .... along wit the throwout bearing and pressure plate ... hint hint ... never let anyone else drive your love

Two months? WOW!! Now, I was hard on my cars when I was a youngster, but even then I managed to get more than two months out of a clutch and throwout bearing

were they incompetent or clutch dumping ?

Or was the new clutch maybe not installed correctly?

no it was a defective ... so i returned it and got another .. it Should be back together by sunday night ... SHOULD

You didn't get that thing at Autozone, did you? That would explain a lot.

auto zone is a complete no no for me ... they (including the people there) suck ... i go to advanced ... and it was only the throw out bearing and presssure plat that was messed up ... clutch was fine ....

when we got the trans off .. the casing thing that spins just fell into two pieces .. all the ***** fell out when we seperated motor and trans

Well, I've worked for both in the past, and I do more business with Advance than Autozone. But if I can find what I need at NAPA or another local parts store, I usually don't mind spending a few extra dollars for a better quality part. They aren't know as discount parts houses just because of the prices. The quality of stuff has gone down hill for both as they've gotten larger and more popular.
