never can have too many spare saturn parts for 14 and 16 year old S cars...
=====================
Now you know why i have a spare strut assembly!
;-)
=====================

I stopped at the local Chevrolet dealer and ordered the button with a spring part number 21013456 group 4.592. It cost a whole $4.70 plus tax. It should be here in Arizona in 5-6 days from Lansing Michigan
=====================
If that is the one up on Bell, They are pretty good about getting things. There sure are a bunch of us here in AZ with these cars considering the sun and the heat beats the BeGeesus out of the plastic.

It was Watson Chevrolet in Tucson. The guy at the counter did not look to be too busy, so he might as well look up a $5 dollar part.:o

It's usually not the button/spring that fails. It's the off white plastic linkage that breaks. 69malibu, did you order the correct part?

Junkyard or ebay.

Or part out/wreck etc of vehicle fresh at junkyard

I believe that part fit multiple years. At least 97 and 98 but don't quote me.

Go to the classifieds at saturnfans.com.

Are you sure yours is not metal? 97 and 98 used metal handles. The picture is for a 96 which along with 95 were plastic, I think. The original post you posted to was for a 96. Hoseppi knew his parts. 96 was plastic

I wonder what ever happened to Howie, derf? He just stopped being here abruptly. Kinda like Uncle John!

I call him about once every 4 years.
He was mainly on here to unload parts from the cars he couldn't fix and sell so he would tear them down and then scrap the shells.
Whatever state he lives in got nasty about non-dealers selling more than x cars per year so I think he took up a different hobby. Though he loved those cars.
Maybe I'll give him a call.......

I THINK he is in Maryland, but am not sure. Being a retired ironworker, maybe his health got him. IDK

Maryland is correct. Maybe I will call him after dinner
