Hey guys. I've got another one for you. How important is the heat shield that runs in between the exhaust and the floorboard. One end came down when i first got it so I had it fixed and now the other end came down and is hanging and resting on the exhaust pipe. I really think that rust has just gotten the best of it. Can I live without it. I have had many cars in the past that did not have a heat shield at all and i believe the exhaust on those cars probably got much hotter.

 

just poke another hole in it, find something to zip tie it to (other than the exhaust) and you're all good.
