Default Door locks programmable?

Hey folks! I'm baaaaack! Does anyone know if the door locks on my '02 SL1 are programmable? They are on our LW300. I'd like to program them to lock when the car is put in gear like the LW300 does, but don't know if it's possible and wouldn't know how to do it if it IS possible. When we got the LW they did that for us at the garage when we bought it. If it is possible, tell me how to fix it and I can do it.

A side note- the sun visor screws are tight, but whatever it's fastened to above the upholstery moves around. Why? Any fix?

That is all for today, folks. Thank you so much for your hints and fixes.

RK

I don't know what BCMs are, but at least it's not a disease and means something good about programming my pretty little car. Thanks so much, Sir Moderator. :-)

don't thank me till body control module (BCM) tells the remote keyless entry (RKE) system to do exactly what you wanted.

Check owner's manual?

Or the other way around. Check the owner's manual as 2000-2002 S car fobs could be programmed but had to be by dealers.

But I sense the real question is programming the lock behavior in total absence of the fob. Sorry ---I was off base

I did check the owner's manual, but nothing there regarding this. That's fine. My big ol' Lincoln Mark VI didn't have that feature and I loved that car. Now I'll love this one and forget the auto-locking feature. Sometimes you're better off without it anyway. What if I had to make a very fast pit stop and couldn't get out with the car running because the doors were locked? See that? You just have to figger all the angles, you know. :-)
